Supporting sensory-seeking and sensitive children
At the end of a big day of stimulation, sensory input and activity. For many children, bedtime can increase anxiety and overwhelm making it harder for them to relax and settle into sleep.
We know that on some nights our children need a little bit of extra support to feel at ease, particularly for those a little more sensitive to light or darkness, sounds and transitions.
Our friends at The Fern Collective in Dunedin, dedicate their time supporting neurodivergent families have kindly written what they love about the Gloworx Sensory Nightlight and how it can support families.
What they love about the Nightlight:
- The non-stimulating light. Crucial for children who are sensitive to harsh lighting. It provides just enough light for reassurance without disrupting the natural sleep environment.
- The gentle soothings sounds available can be incredibly regulating for children that benefit from auditory comfort at night.
- It adds magic and anticipation to the night time routine. A mindset shift from the same old routine to excitement. Turning the light on, choosing the sound and instantly feeling more relaxed in their own room.
